Cosmetic Veneers in San Diego

Veneers can completely reshape your teeth and smile.  They can often be alternatives to crowns and the ideal solution in treating many dental conditions.  They will enhance your smile and correct many issues, such as chipped edges, black triangles between the teeth, and intrinsic discolorations.

Porcelain veneers are the gold standard in cosmetic dentistry.  Porcelain has excellent esthetics and is very strong.

Bioclear chairside veneers are an excellent option for those looking for a more conservative approach to their cosmetic dentistry. There is little to no  tooth removal and almost never require anesthetic.

Reasons for  veneers:

  • Cosmetically, to create a uniform, white, beautiful smile.
  • Crooked teeth.
  • Misshapen teeth.
  • Severely discolored or stained teeth.
  • Teeth that are too small or large.
  • Unwanted or uneven spaces.
  • Worn or chipped teeth.

What does getting  Bioclear chairside veneers involve?

Getting Bioclear chairside veneers is usually completed in one visit and is the ideal treatment option for closing black triangle spaces in between the teeth.  Little to no anesthetic is used and there is little to no drilling of the teeth.  The doctor and you will select an appropriate shade (color) and the chairside veneers will be shaped and bonded to the teeth.  Though this is typically a long appointment, it is usually completed in one visit.

What does getting  porcelain veneers involve?

Getting porcelain veneers usually requires two to three visits to complete the process and is much more involved than Bioclear chairside veneers.  The teeth are prepared by  shaping the surface to allow for the thickness of the veneer.  A mold or impression of the teeth is taken and a shade (color) will then be chosen by you and the dentist.

Prior to fabrication of the permanent veneers, the doctor will fabricate temporary veneers.  The doctor will customize the shape and the size of the temporary veneers to your liking.  The process of customizing the temporary veneers may take multiple appointments. Once you have approved the shape and size of the temporary veneers, a mold or impression of the temporary veneers will be taken so that the laboratory will customize your permanent porcelain veneers to your liking.

At the final visit, the permanent veneers will be bonded to your teeth.
